Andromeda

And I'm totally addicted! lol
I decided to do a series on the top fermale Olympians from Greek Mythology.

This is Andromeda. Okay, so no she's not a goddess, she's mortal. But she's important enough in the myths to have her own constellation. No, seriously, she is a real constellation in the night sky. Just look for her tonight! lol

She was saved by the hero, Perseus (who is also a constellation) from the monstrous sea beast, the Krakken, and ended up being his wife, and Queen.

The blue is a symbol of her would-have-been tragic life of being a sacrifice for the Krakken due to her mother, Queen Cassiopeia's arrogance at calling her even more beautiful than the Nereids, sea-goddesses which blessed her kingdom of Argos with water and life. And as punishment, her only daughter, Andromeda was to be sacrificed to them.
And the yellow symbolizes her courage to save her kingdom, and her happy ending with the love of her life, Perseus.
And, her bracelets are an allegory to the chains that tied her to the rock where the Krakken was to devour her, and again, they're golden to represent her happy ending.
